My Philosophy

As the past several years have shown us, life has many unexpected twists and turns, and sometimes it can be overwhelming to navigate on our own. I am here to help people feel seen and supported while they work through these life transitions.

The foundation for a successful therapeutic relationship is developing a strong connection, and that can only be established by meeting regularly and consistently. Therefore, the commitment to our sessions is essential.

I seek to provide my patients with safe, supportive time and space where the work can be done. Everyone enters treatment at their own place and pace; I do my best to meet each of my patients where they are. I believe each person deserves an individualized approach, and I spend the first few sessions getting to know your needs and strengths. We would work collaboratively so that our sessions are personalized and effective. I only recommend medications if medically indicated and attempt to keep regimens as simple as possible.

My practice is currently focused on adolescents, young adults, and mothers, as they are in unique phases of their lives with exciting and challenging transitions. I believe one can truly thrive and grow during these periods with the right support. If medication management is needed when working with adolescents, I involve parents as necessary while placing a priority on creating a private space for the teen to cultivate a trusting environment.

I also provide gender-affirming care for youth and adults, including consultation for letters needed for gender-affirming procedures.
